- Packaging Compliant with European ESPR Regulations - Modularization of the main package and refill cartridge minimizes waste parts and reduces plastic usage. - Comparison of identical 10g of round type stick package shows an 8.3g plastic reduction, achieving up to 20.1% less plastic usage. • One of domestic beauty brand “C” product: 41.2g (non-refillable) • Previous version of Samhwa: 35.1g (non-refillable) • Refillable cartridge stick: 32.9g (refillable) - Reusing the main package three times (with two additional refills): • Non-refillable stick packaging generates 123.6g of composite plastic waste. • Refillable product generates 24.6g of single-material plastic waste after three uses. : This results in an 87.6g reduction in plastic usage compared to the original product, achieving an 80% decrease in environmental load.
- Enhancement of transportation and storage efficiency through the minimizing the number of parts, structural reduction design and the supply of refill packaging. - The refill cartridge sticks can accommodate a greater quantity compared to traditional sticks in the same box, resulting in a transportation efficiency improvement of 29.6%. • The 10g of main stick products can hold 432 units, while the refillable 10g cartridge containers can accommodate 560 units. • The 20g of main stick products can hold 190 units, and the refillable 20g cartridge containers can accommodate 288 units.
- (Re-usability) By applying a modular mechanism technology to the refill cartridge, it enables continuous use by refill cartridge replacement, thereby enhancing the reusability of cosmetic packaging. The reusable main package features luxurious finishing touches that express the brand identity effectively. - (Recyclability) The refill components, which are discarded after use, are standardized to single materials of PCR-PP or PP. This enhances the recyclability of the plastic materials discarded after consumption by 100% through the refill process. - (Recoverability, Post-Consumer Material Recycling) By converting traditional non-refillable and composite-material packaging into refillable cartridge packaging with single material, this improves the recovery and post-consumer recyclability of plastic materials. The discarded refill components applied single material of PCR-PP or PP, allowing for enhanced recovery and recycling. The separated single materials can be recycled as PCR-PP. - (Ease of Disposal) Unlike the traditional up-and-down refill mechanisms, we have implemented an intuitive slidable refill mechanism, simplifying the post-consumption separation process. The use of single-material product eliminates the need for separate component disposal by material, making disposal more convenient.
